Full Arsenal squad for Premier League, Gabriel Martinelli involved, new goalscoring solution

Goal scoring solution

It’s been well documented that Arsenal have struggled for goals in the Premier League this season.

To put the issue into context, the Gunners’ total of 10 from 11 games is a record bettered by every team across the entire division – barring the bottom three.

As a result, it was no surprise to see shooting was the main focus during Saturday’s training session.

Willian, who is yet to open his account following his summer transfer, was amongst the goals in training. Although, despite netting with an exquisite chip, some Arsenal fans weren’t too impressed.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Bukayo Saka, and Folarin Balogun were also on target as the Gunners forwards put on a display of clinical finishing.

Has Arteta found the solution to his biggest problem?

Wonderkids called up

One major positive to take from Arsenal’s Europa League campaign – other than the goals and performances – has been the chances for the club’s youngsters.

Prior to being left out against Tottenham, Joe Willock had forced his way into Arteta’s Premier League XI on the back of some excellent performances in Europe.

And following the 4-2 win over Dundalk, Emile Smith Rowe and Folarin Balogun will be knocking on the door to make the matchday squad against Burnley.
