Toni Kroos says ‘I’m not surprised by anyone anymore’ after Mesut Ozil leapt to Aubameyang’s defence in celebrations row

The Real Madrid midfielder labelled Aubameyang’s occasional use of a superhero mask when celebrating a goal as ‘nonsense’ last week.

Kroos’ former Germany team-mate Ozil weighed in on the row by backing his Arsenal pal, but Kroos is not interested in rising to the pair’s social media jibes.

Kroos told Bild: “I’m not surprised by anyone anymore.

“I found it amusing, but I’ve already ticked it off.”

Aubameyang has donned Spiderman, Batman and Black Panther masks in the past, prompting Kroos to single him out in a discussion on the Einfach mal Luppen.

Kroos said: “I find [elaborate celebrations] very silly.

“Even worse is if there are any objects hidden in their socks.

“Aubameyang once celebrated and took out a mask.

“That’s where it ends with me. I don’t think that’s a good role model, either. What nonsense.”

Don’t do it Arteta – A loan deal is not what this promising Arsenal rising star needs right now

As reported by Football.london, former Manchester United and Bayern Munich player Owen Hargreaves has urged Arsenal youngster Joe Willock to go out on loan. He believes that with Willock’s current form, he should head out on loan for a season or two to get more game time.

With Willock not featuring in any league game so far but putting up strong showings in the Europa League, the pundit pointed to the fact how reputed players like Toni Kroos, Phillip Lahm and David Alaba were sent on loan before they became world-class players. (h/t Football.london)
