William Saliba is unhappy with his situation at the London club and is keen to leave the Emirates Stadium in winter, according to reports in France. U20 France international was signed in a £27m deal from Saint-Etienne but after joining Arsenal in the summer he is yet to make his competitive debut.

The Gunners were willing to loan William to a Championship club for the remainder of the campaign but a move has failed to materialise. Saliba is regularly playing for Gunners Under-23s but it the Spanish coach appears to consider the centre-back a long way off a regular first-team role.

The 19-year-old defender’s opportunities of game time were hindered even further last month when Mikel Arteta left the centre-back out of Gunners UEL squad. The French centre-back is ‘fed up’ of his situation at London club and is now looking for a move away in the next transfer window.

The report claims that William is open to the idea of returning to Saint-Etienne, having spent last campaign on loan at his boyhood club before moving to Gunners. Saint-Etienne are also keen on re-signing him and Ligue 1 club’s hierarchy were ‘disappointed’ that they were unable to bring him back in the summer window.

Speaking about William’s situation, Mikel Arteta said: ‘He’s in a much better place. He’s feeling a lot more confident around the place, his language is improving and he’s starting to understand much better what we’re doing physically. He’s played a few games with the under-23s which he needed because he didn’t play any football in the last seven or eight months. Things are progressively getting better and better.’

Aubameyang replies to the criticism of his celebrations

Toni Kroos has received a response from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the German criticised the Gabon striker’s goal celebration.

Aubameyang is known for his flamboyant celebrations when he scores goals for his team, and that is part of his trademark as a footballer.

Some fans want him to score goals just so they want to see the next celebration that he will pull off.

The striker is experiencing a goal drought at the moment, and those fans cannot wait for him to score again.

However, Kroos thinks that those rehearsed goal celebrations are uncalled for and he even branded them as “sily”

Aubameyang has now responded to the Real Madrid midfielder on Twitter.

The Gabon striker questioned if Kroos has any kids and that he does his celebrations for his son and that he will do it over and over again.

He Tweeted: “By the way

“Does this @ToniKroos have Kids?

“Just to remember i did it for my son few Times and i will do it again

“I wish you have Kids one day and make them happy like this Junior School pupils Talk and don’t Forget #maskon #staysafe”
