Arsenal has been keen to get Mesut Ozil off their books for some time now, and it seems they may finally achieve that objective.

The German has entered the final year of his current deal at the club and he has been keen to remain at Arsenal until the end.

The Gunners, on the other hand, want to get his huge wage off their bill as quickly as they can.

They have reportedly been talking to him about a payoff, but Ozil isn’t interested unless he will be paid in full what is left of his current deal.

Spanish expert, Cesar Luiz Merlo is now claiming that the Gunners have been offered £5m by Al-Nassr for the transfer of Ozil and the Gunners are ready to part with him.

The Saudi Arabian club is one of the richest in the Middle East and a lucrative deal for the German shouldn’t be a problem.

He goes on to claim that they have offered him a two-year deal to move to the club.

However, it seems that the German is more than happy to stay frozen out at the Emirates with the report also claiming that Ozil has resolved to stay put at the Emirates.

sakas form earns him a place among europes top-three

Bukayo Saka has had a whirlwind start to his Arsenal career and the teenager could hardly have hoped for more after earning an England cap recently.

He broke into the Arsenal first team last season and he has remained there despite being just 19.

He has signed a new long-term deal with the Gunners to ensure that they don’t lose him to another top side cheaply.

Now he has also earned an England cap and all this has happened because of his impressive performances for Arsenal.

He has been one of the club’s most important players despite being so young and Mikel Arteta seems to trust him very well.

His effort has now been recognised by Whoscored.

They made a list of the top-rated teenagers in Europe’s top five leagues via their rating system and Saka was one of three youngsters on the list.

The Englishman had an average rating of 7.21, he is joined on the list by Barcelona’s Ansu Fanti who has an average rating of 8.13, the other player on the list was Giovanni Reyna of Borussia Dortmund who had an average rating of 8.14.

Arsenal handed huge Europa League boost as fans have another reason to laugh at Unai Emery

Arsenal will have to travel less distance than London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League group stage, it has been confirmed.

Just 13 out of the 48 teams left in the competition have less to travel than Mikel Arteta’s side in their three away matches in the group, as calculated by Reddit user Bear Cadet.

Spurs actually have the second closest trip (316km) out of any team left in the competition when they travel to Belgium to face Antwerp.

Despite this, Jose Mourinho’s men will still total up more miles than Arteta’s side over the course of their three away group games.

The team that will have to trek the most distance is Villarreal – of course managed by former Arsenal boss Unai Emery.

The Spanish side usually travel around 22,000km per season in La Liga, but quite staggeringly, they will travel over half of that in their three away matches.
