Arsenal fans Angry as owner celebrates new Rams stadium

Arsenal fans’ discontent with owner Stan Kroenke continues as the Los Angeles Rams show off their new stadium.

The Rams played their first NFL game in their new SoFi Stadium on Sunday which cost more than $5billion to build.

It was originally estimated to cost around $2.5billion but it’s thought the final costs ramped up to around double that.

The Rams won their first game in their new stadium, beating the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday evening.

And after the game, Kroenke was handed the game ball by head coach Sean McVay for his hefty contribution to the new stadium.

Traditionally, the game ball or a couple of them, would be handed out by the winning team’s head coach to the player or players who stood out in the game.

The Gunners fans remain furious that Kroenke has invested so much into the Rams and not Arsenal, and they have made that point again on twitter.

Here’s what they have had to say.

The supporters’ claims come on the same day as a report from Swiss Ramble which appeared to highlight the fact Kroenke hasn’t put money into Arsenal for five years.

It’s claimed all signings made during that time were paid out of the club’s earnings.
