Emiliano Martinez reacts on Instagram after £20m bid received

Arsenal and Aston Villa have agreed a deal for Emiliano Martinez.
As reported by Birmingham Live, the fee is said to be in the region of £20m and the goalkeeper was set to undergo a medical on Saturday as his Emirates Stadium exit moves closer.
The writing was effectively on the wall for Martinez after he was left out of the Gunners’ matchday squad against Fulham and Mikel Arteta confirmed the decision was transfer related.
“We have a special situation,” Arteta told BT Sport.
“Obviously the transfer market is open and we know all the rumours, so we made the decision to start Bernd [Leno] today.”
Arteta’s decision ultimately paid off as Bernd Leno kept a clean sheet in a routine win at Craven Cottage, and now attentions have turned to bringing in a replacement for Martinez.
According to reports, Arsenal have opened talks over a possible deal to sign Brentford goalkeeper David Raya and he could cost £10m.
Whilst a number of Arsenal supporters have had their say on this possible transfer, Martinez has managed to remain tight-lipped amid all the rumours.
Although, he did take to social media after it was reported that a £20m deal had been agreed.
Posting an image of him and his son on his Instagram stories, it’s clear that he wasn’t giving much away and may have been reacting to the Gunners’ 3-0 win.
As previously reported by footballsocial.online , the Gunners ideally wanted to keep Martinez and were prepared to offer him a new contract that will come with a significant pay rise on his £25,000-a-week salary.
Although, they have been aware that the goalkeeper wants regular first-team football in order to commit his long-term future to the club.
“I have shown the club that I can play for them and when I return next season I need to have more games,” Martinez said last month. “That is the only way I will stay at Arsenal.”
