Arsenal Live: Atletico Madrid make fresh transfer decision for Thomas Partey, Mikel Arteta delay Holding decision,

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has been a No.1 target for Arsenal throughout the course of the summer.
The Gunners top brass made the 27-year-old Ghanaian international their main midfield target and have been patiently hoping that they could reach agreements with both he and Atletico Madrid.
Atletico have remained resistant to approaches however, detailing they would only sell if the £45million release clause in his contract was met.
The Spanish giants have not wavered on that stance and have been looking to tie Partey down to a new contract, which would allow them to substantially raise that clause.
But Partey, whose current deal runs until 2023, has held out in negotiations, surveying the landscape after being attached to Atleti for seven years.
Arsenal delay Holding decision
Arsenal defender Rob Holding was close to a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer, with a loan deal to Newcastle reportedly close.
However, the center half is still currently at Arsenal and played in their latest pre-season friendly against Aston Villa.
Thiago response
Thiago Alcantara appears to have shrugged off speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League.
Liverpool and Manchester United are both keen on signing the 29-year-old, who is valued at £27million by Bayern Munich.
Arsenal have also been linked, with Mikel Arteta reportedly speaking to the Spaniard.
But walking out of his post-game interview after Spain’s 1-1 draw with Germany last week, he was asked: “Liverpool or Manchester?”
Thiago laughed and replied: “Ciao!” before saying: “Munich is my home and I’m so happy to be there.”
