Valencia move for £40,000 per week on Arsenal midfielder

The London club are reportedly keen to offload Matteo Guendouzi and Valencia want the footballer on a season-long loan with an option to buy for £16m. France international fell out of favour with the Spanish manager after a scuffle with Neal Maupay following the 2-1 loss to Brighton back in summer.
Matteo didn’t feature for Arsenal after the incident for the rest of the season and was absent again in the Community Shield win over Liverpool on the weekend. La Liga giants want to take Guendouzi on a one-year loan deal which will include an optional clause to purchase him permanently for £16m next summer.
The 21-year-old midfielder’s representatives have held discussions with Valencia, who want a definitive response by next weekend. However, the London giants prefer a permanent switch as they aim to raise funds for their other transfer targets.
Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey and a new loan deal for Dani Ceballos, who has come back to Bernabeu, is top of their priority list, meanwhile, defender Gabriel Magalhaes’ move to the London club seems imminent.
The report states that Arsenal want to offload the French midfielder and fellow outcast Mesut Ozil. This comes only days after the Spanish manager announced that in a conversation with Matteo in the off-season, he told him he was being handed a new start this campaign.
‘I’ve been really clear that everybody starts from zero. What you did two weeks ago or two years ago, doesn’t really matter. It’s what you are able to contribute to the team now.’
