Arsenal transfer: Partey decision, Lacazette swap deal, Elneny to Galatasaray

The latest transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal as Mikel Arteta prepares for his first full season at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are just a few days away from beginning their new first full season under Mikel Arteta, with the Community Shield clash against Liverpool this weekend.

The Gunners have already added Willian to their ranks on a free transfer from Chelsea and are closing in on a deal to sign Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille.

Transfer business is not finished there though and a host of other names continue to be linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, with some outgoing deals also on the cards.

Here, we have gathered some of the latest snippets surrounding the club.

No Partey deal

Arsenal are set to walk away from a deal to sign Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid this summer.

The midfielder has been linked with the Gunners over the last few months and is believed to be Mikel Arteta’s number one transfer target this summer.

Partey’s international release clause stands at £45m and Diego Simeone has told Arsenal that this is his price.

As a result, Catalan newspaper Sport, via the Star, report that the Gunners are now turning their attention elsewhere.

Lacazette swap deal

Atletico Madrid have three players in mind for a potential swap deal involving Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.

However, one of those players isn’t Thomas Partey, according to a report from Spanish publication Marca.

They claim Diego Simeone still wants to sign a striker this summer, and Atletico haven’t forgotten about Lacazette.

Before the reports added that the three players Atletico have in mind are Thomas Lemar, Vitolo and Angel Correa.

Elneny eyed

Galatasaray are the leading contenders to secure the signature of Arsenal midfielder, Mohamed Elneny this summer.

Turkish newspaper Fotomac, via Sport Witness, claims that Galatasaray are advancing in negotiation with the Gunners over landing the Egyptian on loan for next season.

Elneny spent last season on loan at Besiktas after he was declared surplus to requirements by Unai Emery.
