Ian Wright sends Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang message over his new contract deal

Wright sends Aubameyang message
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has sent a message to club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang encouraging him to sign a new deal with the club.
Aubameyang is out of contract at the Emirates next summer and there is now a great deal of speculation on whether or not he will put pen to paper on a new deal.
Wright wrote on Twitter: “Taking so long gonna sign da ting myself,” while he tagged Arsenal and Aubameyang in the post and attached a photo of himself smiling and posing to sign a contract.
Gunners start pre-season
It was only three weeks ago that Arsenal defeated Chelsea in the FA Cup final but now the Gunners are back in pre-season training for the 2020/21 season.
It is a quick turnaround time as Arsenal face Liverpool in the Community Shield on Saturday before starting their Premier League campaign two weeks later.
The UEFA Nations League qualifiers taking place between September 3 and 8 complicates matters further for clubs, although it is likely that a series of behind closed doors friendlies will be scheduled.
A number of youngsters will be involved in the training, including Emile Smith Rowe – who has returned from a loan spell at Huddersfield Town.
Arsenal set to seal Gabriel deal
Arsenal’s recruitment is set to continue this week as they edge closer to a deal for Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes.
As per the Metro, via Gianluca Di Marzio, the Gunners are set to complete the transfer for £22.7million, fending off interest from Napoli and a late bid from Manchester United.
It is claimed the central defender is swaying towards a move to north London and he could bolster the heart of Mikel Arteta’s side’s defence.
